I am an
innovative
fashion industry professional with a passion for establishing,
developing, and
directing a global sourcing strategy for retailers and effectively
directing the business relationships with suppliers (international
brand) to leverage lower costs and reduced lead time without
sacrificing quality. My humble beginnings learning the manufacturing
side of the apparel business started in the summer of 1979 when I began
my career at Perri-Ann Lingerie, one of Canada's premier lingerie
manufacturing companies..I later worked for various
sportswear companies in the areas of sales, merchandising, and
production. As Operations Manager at Easywear Fashion Group, I was
responsible for the vertical integration of the cut and sew private
label division and the roll out of a designer
sportswear label to North American retailers. In
conjunction with the Business
Development Bank of Canada and
the Centre for
Textile
Technology,
I have the
opportunity to work on major apparel and textile projects.

apparel manufacturing and textile manufacturing

garment construction and related machinery
- Extensive experience in
China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Ukraine, Lithuania, Peru,
Columbia, as well as domestic including country trade regulations

industry Quality Control Audits; certify factories for social
responsibility, quality assurance and environmental objectives, now
expected by all major retailers
- Advanced knowledge in
cross-functional operations, including merchandising, distribution,
planning, allocations
- Accomplished in managing
a product life cycle from conception to completion including
determining new product requirements, product pricing, timeline for
launching new products to market

shop-within-shop sales model. We believe that the shop-within-shop
model allows for a more complete merchandising of your products and

your products and further strengthening of your brand image. We monitor
the styles and products that are popular with your wholesale customers
to give us insight into current fashion trends, which helps us better
serve your retail customers.
